Blue Rodeo Part 1

It's a great accomplishment for any band to just survive 23 years as a group.

Blue Rodeo has thrived.

Last night's Blue Rodeo performance at Nanaimo's Port Theatre did not dissappoint.

In fact, it was one of the greatest concerts I've seen in recent memory.

This is thanks in part to the stellar opening act, Dustin Bentall and Kendal Carson.

The vocal harmonies of these two muscians was chillingly amazing.

Dustin's voice has tones of Neil Young and Bob Dylan, with a solidly strummed guitar providing the rhytm to Kendal's lead-style violin; and sulry, entralling voice.

Check his solo work out by clicking the image below.

Kendel Carson also has solo material available, click the image below to visit her site.

Blue Rodeo took the stage after a brief intermission - just enough time to grab a pale ale.

I recorded select songs and wrote down the playlist, which will be included in my next post, Blue Rode Part 2.
